Nice that "big name" groups like U2 and Green Day were able to "help out", but I personally would have rather seen local products (minus Aaron Neville) perform. Maybe Cowboy Mouth? Sorry, skins... :D

Cowboy Mouth played outside before the dome opened.

Yeah, heard that in the pre-game. Them and some other band, yeah? Rebirth? Something like that. Anyways, would have rather seen them on TV and "pimped" rather than U2 and Green Day, two bands that have absolutely nothing to do with the area. :D

I sent you pictures of Rebirth during my Mardi Gras escapades. Great band...... I think. :D

Considering all the work & attention U2, Edge especially, are giving to the region I think they are a very good choice. Plus since they and Green Day appeal to a much larger crowd it brings more exposure to the area by having them play. I thought it was a nice touch having the local brass musicians on the stage too.

True enough. I really didn't know U2 (Edge) was doing so much. That's awesome.
