paxacha
I don't get this... "Primm said Owens underwent two traumatic events Monday involving his 7-year-old son and his fiancée, a woman he has dated for three years. " " Owens "doesn't have many friends," said the trainer, who contends that the public and news media have long misperceived a man he considers "a gentle soul" and a "caring, highly sensitive" individual with a fragile psyche." "...suicide wasn't an issue." "But the combination of this week's events was apparently too much, the trainer said. " I dunno... if you're a highly sensitive individual with few friends and a fragile psyche who's suffered too many traumatic incidents on Monday, then the next day you decide to start taking painkillers you've hadn't needed before (and didn't he say in the press conference he took a few extra?), shouldn't depression be an issue? Hat Trick
This will be my lasst post on TO regarding this event. I aint buying a word that his publicist said, she was doing damage control, if you couldn't tell then I don't know what to tell you. TO is clearly having personal problems and if the police report says he was depressed then all these factors undoubtly prove why he was, she was the damage control cover-up. When she said TO has "25 million reasons", that was the most telling thing she could have said, and that was the silver lining for me. Did anyone see the NFL Network interview with Deion from Sept 12th? Where Terrell states they drafted Terrell Owens and the NFL turned him into TO. I bought what he said in that interview, a lot of what he said made sense to me. I bet he is a good, caring person to the FEW friends and family he has, but it's his personality that alienates himself from others and makes them not want to be around him. He brought a lot of this on himself and the media strives for things to pursue and expolit, he is a victim in that sense. TO has a lot going on personally and I'd bet he just wanted to get a little F'd up, and being how he probably doesn't drink or do anything to harm his body, he took a few too many pills and was a little out of it. His publicist happen to see him in this state, knew what was going on in his personal life and threw the red flag. Everyone has those down moments, sure most rely on others to help us threw those times and not drugs or pain killers, but that was his coping device. He was released from the hosital cause he convinced them he was in the state he was because of the mixture of the pills with his supplements, he probably took a little much to ease the pain in his heart, not his hand. Now damage control has set in, I got more from his interview that he was embarrassed by what happened more than anything, he made yet another mistake. All this said, watch the F out cause he's going to be a beast on the field from here on out trying to prove something, assuming he can stay healthy and can keep his personal life from affecting his focus on the field. SNOWBOUND33
From your mouth to god's ears. So I should start him this week?
Vet
My theory is that actually did commit suicide and that everything after that has been a cover-up. I think that person at the press conference yesterday was a look-alike hired to pretend he was TO. Not knowing the athletic skills of the look-alike, it's tough for me to tell you whether or not to start him this week. I have TO on one of my fantasy teams, so I assume I automatically get his look-alike as a replacement. I'm not going to start the body-double this week - I'm going to take a week to see if the guy has any skills.
