keggerz
well i dont really use a shoe box but i figured it was time to add PRO to the mix...i am already using Intuits Point Of Sale Software(which is supposed to integrate with QBPro, currently and impatiently waiting while it exports). So does anyone else here use Quickbooks PRO? any tips or tricks? So far this program has reinforced why i hated accounting in College and didnt go into that field(sorry Puddy & all other bean counters) Edited September 28, 2006 by keggerz

twiley
We use Pro but I couldn't tell you the first thing about it. All I know is that it does our payroll and I have to sign checks every Thursday.

I consider it some of the best money i spend for the peace of mind i get from it.

If this is the case then you are going to need to move the entries from the "cash in drawer" account to your checking account. Post your questions once the export is done and i will try to help as much as possible.

H8tank
You're asking a question now about something you may use in 9 months?

Example: Today, our payroll gal comes to me and says that she has everything all set to start printing checks but her flash drive that she saved everything on from her home computer last night isn't working. She also tells me this 1 hour before she's to leave for the airport and that she won't be able to disburse checks. We fixed the issue but it's little things like that that'll make the blood pressure go up. Edited September 28, 2006 by twiley
theeohiostate
I use Pro 2006, but had my accountant set everything up for me, so i just enter in check, bills etc. Pretty easy for that.

H8tank
That makes more sense... Pro is easy to use, learning curve can be high, suggest Quickbooks Pro for dummy's if you plan on using it for Payroll, inventory, etc.
