Top 10 Rb's in my league after 4 weeks

Recommended Posts

Here how the top 10 looks in my league after 4 weeks. I dont put much weight in the order at this point, since its only week 4.

1. Westbrook, Brian PHI RB 78.000 **** Yet to Play ****

2. Johnson, Rudi CIN RB 65.900

3. Portis, Clinton WAS RB 61.400

4. Jackson, Steven STL RB 59.100

5. Maroney, Laurence NEP RB 59.000

6. Gore, Frank SFO RB 58.000

7. Johnson, Larry KCC RB 55.700

8. Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC RB 55.600

9. Jones, Kevin DET RB 52.400

10. Brown, Ronnie MIA RB 51.500

I think the biggest surprise to me is Maroney followed by Gore.

Traded Mason for KJ a few weeks back. Paying dividends so far!

I expect Gore to freefall now - I think the coaching staff is losing confidence in him. I think Maroney can lurk around the bottom half of the top 10 all year. With the passing game clicking in Chicago, and the Dallas O-line actually playing decent, the Jones brothers may push for a top 10 spot at some point.

I think the bigger surprise is Alexander, Barber & Edge are no where to be found.

I wouldn't have been surprised if one of them was not living up to expectations, but who would have wagered that all three would be absent a quarter of the way thru the season??

Alexander = injury

Barber = bye

Edge = POS O line

Barber will come back around as the season continues. The other two, not so much.

Not to start a pissing contest, but where's the best RB to come into the league in the past couple of decades...?

Assuming you mean Bush, then same as in weeks 1, 2 & 3, he was last seen sharing the ball with McAllister while playing for the Saints, while also leading all NFL RB's for receptions & receiving yardage.

Is that the guy you're asking about BB?. :D

Maybe...Barber may have something left, but his loss of carries to an obviously-impressive Jacobs, which I think continues as the season wears on, will hit his value more than most thought in pre-season...not to mention his tough schedule, and the fact that their defense makes it appear as though they will be playing from behind this year. That Seattle team that put up 5 TDs on the Giants last week got shut down completely by the Bears (albeit minus Alexander, though it didn't appear even he would have helped much)....if the Bears are that much better than the Giants, the G-men are in trouble.

To finish Top-10, he's got a lot of of ground to make up on guys whose strong season's should continue.

Yep. So we can look for Bush to breaking into Larry Centers territory sometime in the future in his career?

I don't think there's any doubt about that & as soon as McAllister gets traded next year, he'll have the rushing job solo too. :D

That's an odd scoring system. SJax in 2nd with his 1 td. If tho pts. were accumulated as bonuses for 100 yards, not sure how KJ is that high. What's your scoring system? PPR?

Doubtful.

He's a lot like the other lighter backs we see - Barber, Portis, Dunn etc...etc...etc... in that he slithers around when running the ball & does not present a big target to take any heavy or solid shots.
