Sgt. Ryan
So long sucker. per Ed Werder, ESPN radio in Dallas.
Bill Swerski
Jerry Jones just did his fans a huge favor. You're better off with Grammatica or Jose Cortez or whoever the hell else is on the FA market.
Ursa Majoris
So continues a long tradition of booting the kicker in Dallas. Any word on who the next mug will be?
Sgt. Ryan
Martin Gramatica. Not sure this is any better...
Ursa Majoris
Martin Gramatica. Not sure this is any better... Dallas will get rid of him when he pops a knee celebrating a 30 yarder.
kingfish247
Martin Gramatica. Not sure this is any better... The kicker position for Dallas is like the drummer for Spinal Tap.

Cowboyz1
I don't know guys, Vandy has sucked up the joint but is Gram the answer? Vandy must be hurt because everything he kicks was right even PATs, as if there was no power or follow through. Just shakin my head on this one. Idiot kickers, who needs them with Romo, just go for two and score TDs.

Kansas State 2000
The Cowboys will absorb about $1.6 million remaining of his $2.5 million signing bonus he received last March. Looks like about $1 million saved.

Donutrun Jellies
Looks like about $1 million saved. If so, it's a great move by Dallas -- cheap mediocrity is better than expensive mediocrity.

Bill Swerski
If so, it's a great move by Dallas -- cheap mediocrity is better than expensive mediocrity poor performance in clutch situations and obnoxious trash-talking. Fixed
Squeegiebo
Fixed Well, there's a distinction without a difference. me‧di‧o‧cre –adjective rather poor or inferior.
Bill Swerski
Well, there's a distinction without a difference. me‧di‧o‧cre –adjective rather poor or inferior. From Merriam-Webster: of moderate or low quality, value, ability, or performance Mediocre can also simply mean "below average." Vanderjagt is clearly AWFUL in big games. Cowboyz1
I wonder if this is temporary or perm. If he can prove he has got his act together and Gram struggles do we bring him back for the playoffs? or was there a spat that can't be reconciled. I wonder if this was just a very strong wake up call or he revealed he was hurt and once better could be back. Because if Gram sucks then we are SOL as far a kickers go. Grits and Shins
Bill and I are on the same page on this one ... why keep an expensive mediocre kicker when you can have a cheap one ... and Vanderjagt has a oh poopyty attitude as well.
