Pirate lookin' at 40
Actually, for me it was Crowell. I remember reading that he was the next Randy Moss and so I grabbed him and thought I had the steal of the draft. My brother still makes fun of me for that one. SteelBunz
Although I don't know if he truly qualifies as a flash-in-the-pan since he did have a few good years, I won my only championship in my longstanding 12-team league by picking up Kordell Stewart off the waiver wire midway through the season and riding him through the championship. I recall getting good advice from SteelBunz in sticking with Stewart. OMG Lefty....when did I EVER tell anyone to either pickup, play or even keep Kordell on their team? Unless that was his 1997 year.....and I honestly don't think I was posting on The Huddle until 99....I'm sure I never gave you such awful advice. Are you sure it didn't have a after it? Skrappy1
Patrick Jeffers He's the one I would mention too. My man was HUGH down the stretch and helped me to win a title. Of course, the next year he got hurt in the preseason and was a waste of a draft pick for me. Edited December 5, 2006 by Skrappy1
CaP'N GRuNGe
Jeff Garcia! I had him in our finals paired up with TO when TO caught 22 passes in a game with SF, needless to say I crushed and won my first and only championship! GO JEFF! I think you resurrected him with this post!

Believe it or not, it was 2001 and Kordell had some great games in Dec.. 'Never felt comfortable starting him, but he came through big time. I just remember thinking that SteelBunz really knows her stuff.

hezagenius
Samkon Gado He still has plenty of time to redeem himself but he has not had any real impact since his brief run of glory last year. Helped me get to the championship game...of the losers bracket.

The Wolf
His name just jumped into my head today and provided a great laugh! Who is your favorite fantasy flash-in-the-pan? Flipper Anderson. Always did well in week 1 and then sort of faded away...
peepinmofo
I always like Chris Sanders for this. He had 823 yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie in 1995 and he only had eight more touchdowns during his next six years in the leauge. You mean Michael Clayton?
