At 7:00 on Sunday evening the Grand Valley State University Lakers will put their NCAA-leading 26 game winning-streak on the line as they host the Delta State University Statesmen in a national semi-final game in the D-II playoffs. The game will be televised by ESPN2.

What's so special about that game to you? :D

Didn't the 5-2 NDSU Bison beat #8 Marquette over the weekend? It's basketball but the Bison domination of Div II football is a fading memory these days...

They came within a blocked field goal of embarrassing the Minnesota Gophers beyond measure earlier this year.

You don't care to see the all-time winningest QB in college football history play what will either be the last or second-to-last game of his college career?

:D

Second to last game. Looking forward to seeing them and Bloomsburg in the finals. BU Alum... which is why I care.

blah--you guys all suck

And as for this being in the wrong forum, I intentionally presented it as an alternative to Sunday Night Football (seriously, who wants to watch the cowboys play again anyway... boring).

But, if you must make me provide a real reason to watch the game with NFL implications, then I will point out that there is the potential that several players in the game might eventually end up playing the NFL. (For example, rising Broncos star :D David Kircus went to Grand Valley State.)

Actually, watching the Cowboys win will be anything but boring.

Nothing against the other game though, I wish all of college football had a playoff.

GO COWBOYS
