Avernus
since when did Steeler fans turn into Dallas fans?... their only comeback for struggling is how many superbowl rings they have.... I mean....it's like eating a pile of crap, but saying it came out of Vida Guerra......regardless of who it came from...it's still a pile of crap you just ate.. ebartender
how many eagles fans came out of the woodwork in their little run they had a few years ago? You know, the run where they just could'nt ever seem to close deal??? The difference is that the Eagles fans don't run and hide when the team plays poorly. They are there no matter what. Yeah, when things are going well we may be a little louder, but what fans base isn't?

The Steelers record is only one-half game worse than the Eagles.

The majority of the Cowboys fans played the 'woe is me' card when their team was horrible...now they are one of the top 3 teams in the NFC...which makes them .....maaaybe top 10 in the NFL... ESPN is smoking crack....as usual...they have Dallas 3rd

I was replying to a post thsat said the Eagles fans came out of the woodwork when the Eagles were playing well. That is 100% crap. All the Eagles fans I know have supported the Eagles no matter how they played. Do we boo when the play bad? Yeah, we expect good football like any other fan should. xMRogers
Don't disagree with the "what most likely will happen". I was stretching the limits with my green tinted glasses. With those, let's say Dal loses to NO this week (and that's possible - odds against, but definitely possible) and we beat Wash. Then we go to NY - if they lose to Carolina, they officially implode and i can see all kinds of craziness going up there to the point we may actually roll, but let's at least give us a shot - so we pull off a close one (and Dallas wins). At that point, Dallas is 9-5, we're 8-6 - we go to Dallas. Third road game in three weeks all in division againts the best of the three teams - on paper no shot. But where i'm really going witht his is that would be a HUGE game - as if we win, we lead the division as we'll have taken both. Well, two of the three games we needed went the right way - now does everyone still think no shot? (and i really just mean that the Dallas game will be for the East, not that we'll necessarily win that game) I love football....
The Next Generation
Well, two of the three games we needed went the right way - now does everyone still think no shot? (and i really just mean that the Dallas game will be for the East, not that we'll necessarily win that game) I love football.... I, for one, didn't give them much of a shot with Garcia at the helm. But, damn, if he isn't playing pretty well. He is managing the game great and not making turnovers which is phenominal. If they can figure-out how to slow the run (they have no shot at stopping it), they may have a shot. But, beating NY in the Meadowlands will be very tough. They do that and I think they will win the division.
xMRogers
Yea, considering we go against : Tiki/Jacobs then Jones/Barber then the Atlanta rushing attach....they better be workign hard this week on run scheme. I swear in watching them it's not really personnel that's killing them against the run (like Indy) so much as play calling. They'll stack up a back once or twice, then have 4 straight plays of 8+ yards, and all of them just look like we ran to the wrong spots. Got a busy week, but have a feeling I'll be thinking about 4pm Sunday quite a lot...
Sgt. Ryan
I hope Philly does win next week, but for a different reason than you do. But I wouldnt be too impressed with Phillys last 2 wins. Carolina went 0-4 vs the NFC EAST, and Washignton has given up on the season going with Jason Campbell at QB. XMAS day will be sweet if Philly is 1 game back or tied with the Boys for the division lead. As they can give me another gift, a division title. Kid Cid
It is WAAAYYY to early for either the Giants or the Eagles to think about winning the division. Either team will have to win out first for that to happen. One of them won't be able to do it after this coming week.
Scourge
As a season ticket holder for the Eagles, I am often embarrassed by some of our fans. The fact that a good portion of the crowd was booing Garcia against Carolina on Monday night is atrocious. However, to understand the motivation behind such a knee-jerk reation that some of the Philadelphia faithful, you have to realize that this is a big market town that has not had a championship team since the Sixers won the NBA title in the early 80's. That said, Philly has very passionate, mostly blue collar fans (like Pittsburgh), who, as much as they boo and carry on, will die bleeding green. That is something I will always be proud to be a part of.

We're hosting x-mas dinner for this exact reason. My brother-in-law and 2 nephews are huge Cowboy fans and my sister and the rest of us are huge Eagles fans. I have the 65" Mitsubishi HD DLP. Hopefully, we can steal one this week and x-mas dinner will be more interesting than ever, that's for sure!
Vet
Before the season started, a lot of experts said that the NFC East was the best division in football. Then in October and early November, the same experts said the division sucked. Now, if the season was to end today, three teams from the division would be in the playoffs. Just goes to show you that nobody really knows what the heck is going on in the NFL from week to week. I'm not sure yet whether I like all this parity. Competition is great and all, but this randomness of results kind of sucks. It would be nice if someone stepped up and took control of the conference. Avernus
If the Eagles beat the Cowboys, you'll hear me cheering from my in-laws house in Tampa. as much as I am a fan of great football games...I really don't want to watch that game no matter how great it will be... there's 1 thing I would hate more than Dallas beating us and that would be for TO to go off the chain AND Dallas wins.... I was fine with it earlier in the season but this game could get ugly and ugly fast....I'm not sold on what Garcia nis doing.....but then again I'm not sold on Romo...I still think he can beat our defense right now....especially with our injuries... unless JJ comes out with another nice scheme.....
