CaP'N GRuNGe
On June 6, 2006, in a speech on the Senate floor about the proposed Federal Marriage Amendment, Inhofe said, pointing at a large photograph of his family: Inhofe points at large photograph of his family, proclaiming none have been divorced or homosexual.... my wife and I have been married 47 years. We have 20 kids and grandkids. I'm really proud to say that in the recorded history of our family, we've never had a divorce or any kind of homosexual relationship."[17] CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! The Irish Doggy
Wow. Even if the anti-GW crowd wants to discount all the direct observations and studies from respected scientists about the effects of fossil fules, they can't see which way the wind blows. It doesn't take a genius to realize that INDIA and CHINA are developing a middle class and gobbling up oil across the world and that our prices will only continue to increase at a dramatic rate. Cheap oil is a thing of the past. We all had a good time when we bought 1/gallon gas. When you could drill in any shmoe's backyard to get the stuff, all was well, but oil and natural gas are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain and demand is only going up. 3 billion people want the same modern conveniences we've been taking for granted since birth. If some people weren't so crazy with the anti tree-hugger lust, they'd see there are sound economic and national interest reasons to look into domestic, renewable energy alternatives to help keep prices down and cheese dip melting in the microwave. The venture capitalists do. Interesting article in The Economist last week about that...
Ursa Majoris
The venture capitalists do. Interesting article in The Economist last week about that... Yes indeed. My company is about to make a fortune out of alternative fuels, to go on top of the multiple fortunes it's made from wind power.

Ursa Majoris
What company is that, and can I have a piece? No, we're not public. There's zillions to be made in alternative energy right now and we're right there at the front. Gonna be a very busy year in 2007.....and beyond. Azazello1313
There's zillions to be made in alternative energy right now largely due to government subsidies. what we typically call "corporate welfare".
Dr. Love
largely due to government subsidies. what we typically call "corporate welfare". This is true. It takes government incentives to make alternative energy sources competitive with taxed traditional sources. The economics of oil may be getting worse, but alternatives are a long way from being competitive.
