LooGie
First things first. I ruffled many a feather when I made my statement about the officiating and Carolina getting the short end of the stick. I am once again going to complain about the officiating. But this time, it was so lopsided in Carolinas favor it was actually hard to watch. And they still lost. Carolina was pulling offensive PI, Defensive PI, late hits, hits out of bounds, holding..pretty much everything but roughing the cheerleaders. And they still lost. This team is just not as disciplined as they should be, but I can chalk that up to a season of blowing 6 leads while heading into the 4th. A season of constant under achievement and mediocrity. A season of listening to the hype and not listening to the game. A season of play calling from both ends of the spectrum at the most idiotic times. And a season of DeShaun Foster. Foster is the biggest turd on the planet. He once again was setting the world on fire with his 3 yards a carry and Styrofoam bones. He leaves the line up and we actually get better. Our run game actual can be called a run game. DeAngelo does everything to prove he gives them the best chance to win, and Foxy goes right back to him as the starter. I just don't get it. Foster had 8 carries for 23 yards. His longest was 12..so 7 for 11 yards? 8 for 23? Seriously? Ok, I understand that there was no run game. NYG had completely shut down the run game and we had to pass continuously. But then again, Williams only had 2 carries for 1 yard. How can we be so sure that there was no run game if we only let Foster try to run. Why not put let our play makers make plays? And so what if if there was no run game, 10 carries is just pitiful in any game, and you cannot win a game like that. Foster needs to just go away. Fox needs to learn his lesson here and start DeAngelo here on out. End of conversation Now, Weinke did great. Sure he had 3 INTs, but one was not his fault, and 2 were. Delhomme throws 2 INTs every game religiously so I think Weinke did good. Not to mention getting the team record of 423 passing yards when NYG knew that all were gonna do was pass anyway. 61 pass attempts is pretty rediculous, and if Delhomme had 61 pass attempts, I'd wager there would be more than 3 INTs and all of them would be delhommes fault. The difference with Weinke and Delhomme was when there was pressure, Weinke would run for a first down. Delhomme rears back and thows to a defender. Everytime almost. I love Jake Delhomme and I hate Foster. Both need to be backups at this point. Weinke can do this job and he certainly can manage a game. Delhomme is one of my favorite players, but unfortunately, he plays for my favorite team and that comes first in my book.
Bengal Mania
..pretty much everything but roughing the cheerleaders. Can I pause here and say that the Panthers Cheerleaders are the best in the entire NFL, I can't remember why, but I bet most people on this board agree. Now, what was the rest of your post about? CD6405
Maybe the Panthers are doing poorly as karmic justice for all the bad (and condescending) Carolina homer analysis from the preseason. That's why PantherDave never comes around anymore
msaint
Not to mention getting the team record of 423 passing yards ... and like 4 of those yards went to smith.

Your 1st rd draft pick accounts for 399yds of offense in 3 weeks and you reward him with 7 targets/carries and kickoff return duty??? I understand you shouldn't lose your job to injury in the NFL but the Panthers were scrambling for a wild card spot. So a 2:1 split in favor of Foster was the answer? laaaaaaame

Pittsburgh Steelers at Carolina Panthers this weekend in the "Disappointment Bowl" We should get together and punch each other in the nuts. It will be less painful. Hat Trick
Weinke can do this job and he certainly can manage a game. Yep, that 1-16 record as a starter proves it too.
