theeohiostate
Should the #1 team face the lowest seeded team that marches on each week? I had always thought this was a no brainer in FF and although most of my leagues actually don't specify the system, it has always been the case. If the #3 beats the #6 and the #5 beats the #4 isn't it only fair to have the #1 face the #5 , not the #3? Why give the #2 a better match up? Anyone have any thoughts as to why? this shouldn't be the case if the rules don't explicitly say so?
twiley
Our rules don't state it but that's how I initially seed the teams. The #1 and #2 get a bye and then the #1 will face the winner of the #3 and #6. The #2 faces the winner of the #4 and #5.

twiley
So in your league having the #1 seed could be a distinct disadvantage by having to play the #3 verse the #5 Maybe, in this league we have 3 divisions (2 - 5 teams and 1 -4 team). The #3 seed actually happens to be the winner of our Eastern division and he actually has a pretty weak team but his division is poor. So, in this league it seems to work out in the #1 seeds advantage :cough: me :cough: . Edited December 12, 2006 by twiley
loaf
I have it stated that #1 seed plays lowest throughout.

Big John
I have it stated that #1 seed plays lowest throughout. That't the way I mostly seen it done.
Grits and Shins
I have it stated that #1 seed plays lowest throughout. If the number 1 seed gets the bye that's only 1 game ... because game 2 is the SB.
Easy n Dirty
We reseed every round, so #1 gets the lowest remaining seed.
Grits and Shins
We reseed every round, so #1 gets the lowest remaining seed. All ONE rounds then? Top 2 seeds get a bye. 3 vs 6 4 vs 5 Top seed gets the worst remaining seed (highest number) 2nd seed gets the remaining team Winners go to the SB with no re-seeding needed.
