wiegie
GVSU gets screwed. GV receiver catches the ball at the 3, but refs rule it incomplete. TV replays show clearly that it was a catch, but the replay officials (an SEC crew) do not even call for a replay review. Typical SEC idiocy screws another team from Michigan. wiegie
My former student, Bill Brechin, again makes a huge play--making an over-the-shoulder catch of a punt to down the punt at the 2. One of the best downings of a punt I have ever seen at any level.
Dutch Oven
I was born in the wonderful town of Maryville, Missouri and can safely say that the football team is the only thing that town has going for it.

Azazello1313
just how i wanted to spend my saturday afternoon....getting internet play-by-play on a division 2 football game from a nerdy econ prof whose students rate him a 2 on the hotness scale. wiegie
43 yard pass-play for GVSU, but then the receiver fumbles it away It will be reviewed and it appears that NWMS will keep the ball.
wiegie
4th and 10 coming up for NWMS at the GVSU 45--they chose to punt with just under 6 minutes left And after a poor snap, they actually get the punt off and down it at the GVSU 1 yard line. wiegie
HUGH 3rd down coming up for GVSU. Ball inside their own 20 and about 5 yards to go for the first down with 3:53 left. GVSU still up by 3.
skylive5
...whose students rate him a 2 on the hotness scale. It's because he is shorter than one expects.
wiegie
very good defensive play by NWMS to knock the ball away. GVSU to punt. NWMS has the ball at the GVSU 48. yeesh--this is a good game Edited December 16, 2006 by wiegie

wiegie
Completion and first-down yardage for NWMS, but the receiver FUMBLES the ball away. Bill Brechin, who you might remember is a former student of mine, gets the recovery. That is 2 INTs, 1 fumble recovery, and and great downed-punt for Brechin. This is undoubtedly the game of his life. (You might recall that last year Brechin made an interception, only to get it reversed by instant replay (in the first game that instant replay was ever used in D-II).)
