The first pick involving Favre & Jennings, was probably on Jennings, but the second one that Sharper basically made a fair catch on, was all Favre.

Being miked up, we got a sideline shot & sound bite of Favre explaining what happened to McCarthy.

Favre said he thought it looked like Jennings was going to keep on going & not break off the pattern where he was supposed to, so he heaved it. Unfortunately for Favre, Jennings did run his route correctly & had Sharper giving a lot of cushion when he slowed & turned for the ball, only to see it sailing way over his head & falling into the arms of Sharper.

If Favre had only thrown the ball where it was designed to go, it would have been a nice gain instead of a pick.

The only thing McCarthy said to Favre was, "It's only 7 to 6" & then he turned his back on Favre & walked away. I think he was pretty ticked off at Favre for butchering that play.

To me this shows Favre & Jennings are still developing that "chemistry", where each knows what the other is thinking, similar to what Favre & Driver have.

Probably the most correct statement here on the whole Favre int situation.

I'm probably going to pin BOTH on miscommunication, really - I think when Jennings didn't break off the first one, Favre assumed he'd do the same on the second one - unfortunately, Jennings remembered what happened on the first int and sat in the open spot in the zone. Lack of chemistry, definitely.

And in my eyes McCarthy criticizing Favre is a GOOD thing. You can say he sucked, but he marched them down inside the ten twice - once on a Franks fumble, and once on the Ahman Green screen (which was more of a "brilliant play call" than a great pass) only to have Franks F it up both times.

Thompson needs to cut Bubba Franks, same as he did Ahmad Carroll.

Very rarely can you point to one specific player & say "If we had lost that game, it would have been because of HIM.", but in this instance, you certainly could & last night was just one of many bad games for Franks this year.

Yep; he's generally been a non-factor, as opposed to a minus, but it's tough to imagine a BIGGER goat for last night's game. Rayner maybe, if he had missed the game-winner, but with the footing it would've been tough to put that totally on him.

C'mon - if Franks didn't have a million on the vikes to cover, I'll never wager again....

How obvious could he be - f**k, outside of just turning around and sacking Favre himself, he couldn't have thrown the cover any worse

(yes, I lost a little on the game)

And you knew the EXACT route that the WR was supposed to run? :D

Just to verify - in McCarthy's press conference last night, he said that the 1st interception was due to Jennings mis-reading a blitz. The second it sounded like was pretty much on Favre.
