Savage Beatings
I'm not sure what's going on, but for about hte last 30 minutes or so it seems like I am losing some of my eyesight. Its getting very blurry, but only in some places... like right now I can see the upper left hand part of my computer monitor fine, but everything else is wigged out. It almost seems like I have starred into a bright light for too long, and I have an impression burned onto my retinas or something like that... but I don't recall looking at any bright lights lately. Help!

KevinL
Signs of a stroke The symptoms of stroke are distinct because they happen quickly: * Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm, or leg (especially on one side of the body) * Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding speech * Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes * Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination * Sudden severe headache with no known cause
MikesVikes
Seriously, if it's a stroke, time is of the essence. When my FIL had a stroke, they said that he needed to be there within 3 hours for medication to work.

MikesVikes
Couldn't it be low blood pressure? It's hard to tell from my monitor so go find out!
AtomicCEO
I hope he's ok, so I can make fun of him for this later. But for now... stop asking stupid questions on a message board and go check it out.
Dragon
My guess is Migraine with visual aura - but I would seek immediate medical attention just in case.

But for now... stop asking stupid questions on a message board and go check it out. My thoughts exactly. It could also be the beginnings of a migraine. PantherDave
Could be "Bells Palsey" as well. Let's just hope that SB is not laying on the floor next to his puter-anyone got his phone #-call his ass pronto.
Kid Cid
Hopefully it's just something like a burst blood vessel in the eye or something else innocous. But yeah, see a medical professional immediately.
Azazello1313
didn't the nuns always tell you if you masturbated too much you'd go blind? but yeah, you probably want to check things out here. Call 911 if:You experience partial or complete blindness in one or both eyes, even if it is only temporary. You experience double vision, even if it is temporary. You have a sensation of a shade being pulled over your eyes or a curtain being drawn from the side. Blind spots, halos around lights, or areas of distorted vision appear suddenly. You have eye pain, especially if also red. A red, painful eye is a medical emergency. Call your provider if you have: Trouble seeing objects to either side Difficulty seeing at night or when reading Gradual loss of the sharpness of your vision Difficulty distinguishing colors Blurred vision when trying to view objects near or far Diabetes or family history of diabetes Eye itching or discharge Vision changes that seem related to medication (DO NOT stop or change a medication without talking to your doctor) you may not need to call 911 if nothing else is going on, but i think at the very least you want to call your doctor and see what he tells you. Los Gigantes
dehydration also causes blurred vision. Drink some water and see if that helps

AtomicCEO
The last time I lost my vision, I had just cuncussed my spine. Of course... it also hurt like hell, so that symptom was a big help diagnosing it.
Kid Cid
I don't know if it's a cool thing about our little corner of the Internet or a sad commentary on life that SB chose to tell us rather than a live human near him what was happening.
