Turner the leading candidate to win the Cowboy HC Job

I know this is more a thread on Turner as the Cowboys HC, but I'm far more interested in the impact to Gore if Turner leaves as the 49er's OC.

 

Anybody heard anything as to who Turner's replacement would be on the 49er's & what type of offense said new OC would favor?

Has Norv been hired for any position with the Cowboys yet? I thought I saw him cheering and shaking JJ's hand when it was announced that Irvin was accepted into the HOF. Was he just there as a guest?

I'm thinking Rivera gets it.......if Norv was the answer, Jerrah would have already gotten it done....

Interesting point of relevance not only for Gore owners but also for owners of either of the two Dallas backs. I don't recall Turner ever employing a RBBC so it would seem likely that he chooses one as his workhorse.

The Cowboys brought in Colts assistant head coach Jim Caldwell on Wednesday as the 10th different candidate to interview for the head coaching vacancy that opened Jan. 22 when Bill Parcells announced his retirement.

 

As of Wednesday night, the Cowboys do not have scheduled visits with any new or current candidates. However, team spokesman Rich Dalrymple would not say the interviewing process has officially been completed.

Not sure I'm terribly excited about this...we'll see how he does. Certainly seems sound defensively. I did notice he took Denver and Buffalo to three WC berths as a HC...but they lost in all of them.

 

I'll certainly be interested in hearing what other Cowboys fans think about this.

I had a dream that it was Caldwell. If that ends up correct, I will start dreaming about lottery numbers. Mostly though, I worry about myself for dreaming of who the Cowboys will hire. That just cannot be healthy.
