Down Goes Frazia
Good call! I have that on vinyl. that whole album is awesome. that whole band went with Sammy when he went out on his own..... with the exception of Ronny Montrose of course. Bill church & Denny Carmassi played on Sammy's first couple albums, including "all night long" which may be my favorite live album of all time. Absolute ass kick'in metal. The Vatican Hitsquad
I didn't know anyone else had heard that You gotta alot of good ones here. I'm like you because I know I will forget some..so I will tihnk on it first... That piano intro is great, when I heard this song the first time I just KNEW it had to be one of the best bands/albums ever, I mean, how else can a song THIS awesome exist? Well, the rest of the album was mediocre at best and I never heard of them releasing a 2nd album. Too bad, cuz this song scorches and it is fargin great. Here's a thought, maybe not thread-worthy: What are the most underrated or unkown Metal albums ever put out: Grim Reaper: Rock You To Hell EZO Helloween: Keeper of the 7 Keys pt 1 Manowar: Fighting the World, Battle Hyms
SLAYER
Hell Awaits - Slayer Evil Has No Boundaries - Slayer Thanks, a lot of hard work went into those
Miner
Some of my faves, off the top of my head: Raining Blood - Slayer Angel of Death - Slayer Wake up Dead - Megadeth Hand of Doom - Sabbath No Remorse - Metallica Leper Messiah - Metallica Victim of Changes - Priest Flash of the Blade - Maiden
Chavez
Top 13.... No particular order: Megadeth - Peace Sells - this was one of the first songs I heard in the speed metal genre; to say it blew my mind would be an understatement Black Sabbath - Supernaut - simple, bluesy, insanely catchy riff with Ozzy's typical existential crisis going on over it Metallica - Leper Messiah - best cut off their best album VoiVod - This is not an Exercise - if you don't own VoiVod's Killing Technology go get it now. Celtic Frost - Progeny - off their first album in about 15 years, Monotheist - they may have more "classic" songs, but this captures what CF is all about, while not being a retread of their old sound Queens of the Stone Age - You Might Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar But I Feel Like a Million Bucks - maybe they ain't metal, but they f'in RAWK and that's more than enough Tool - The Grudge - see above Motorhead - Motorhead - Who would win in a fight between Lemmy and God? Trick question, ass hole - Lemmy IS God! Anthrax - Crush - off the criminally underrated Volume 8:The Threat is Real! Slayer - Die by the Sword - tough to pick - this one had the most competition from "The Antichrist", "Seasons in the Abyss", "War Ensemble", and "Raining Blood" to name but a few. Trouble - Mr White - off Manic Frustration - Beatles-esque and psychedelic...and creepy as well Judas Priest - Metal Gods - it gave Halford his nickname, what more do you need? Iron Maiden - Stranger in a Strange Land - this is just different; it doesn't charge forward and punch you in the face, it more kinda insinuates itself into your head and doesn't go away; subtlety and metal CAN go exist

Chavez
AC/DC - if you want blood april wine - I like to rock AC/DC lost a whole lot when Bon Scott died; I've always thought April Wine got lost in the shuffle - good stuff, although I'd probably put both of these guys in the "hard rock" category. evil_gop_liars
In no particular order. The Trooper - Iron Maiden Suit and Tie Guy -D.R.I Speak English or Die - S.O.D Fake Healer - Metal Church Practice what you preach - Testament A.I.R - Anthrax Prime Cut - Prong Bored - Death Angel South of Heaven - Slayer Seek and Destroy - Metallica You've got another thing coming - Priest Holy Diver - Dio
Chavez
Bored - Death Angel Holy Diver - Dio The thing with "Bored" is that it's a GREAT tune, but that solo is just completely out of place in the song. As if the guitar player wasn't even paying attention... "what? solo? Um, sure..." You haven't lived until you've heard Pat Boone's version of "Holy Diver."
