loaf
Gonna lose my way tomorrow, gonna give away my car. I'd take you along with me, but you would not go so far. Don't see what I do not want to see, you don't hear what I don't say. Won't be what I don't want to be, I continue in my way. Don't see, see, see where I'm goin', Don't see, see, see where I'm goin', Don't see, see, see where I'm goin' to, I don't want to. Everyday I see the mornin' come on in the same old way. I tell myself tomorrow brings me things I would not dream today.
wiegie
A better song for Jeffrey (Jeffrey Spain, that is): Away down South in the land of traitors, Rattlesnakes and alligators, Right away, come away, right away, come away. Where cotton's king and men are chattels, Union boys will win the battles, Right away, come away, right away, come away. Then we'll all go down to Dixie, Away, away, Each Dixie boy must understand, That he must mind his Uncle Sam, Away, away, And we'll all go down to Dixie. Away, away, And we'll all go down to Dixie. I wish I was in Baltimore, I'd make Secession traitors roar, Right away, come away, right away, come away. We'll put the traitors all to rout, I'll bet my boots we'll whip them out, Right away, come away, right away, come away. Then they'll wish they were in Dixie, Away, away, Each Dixie boy must understand, That he must mind his Uncle Sam, Away, away, And we'll all go down to Dixie. Away, away, And we'll all go down to Dixie. Oh, may our Stars and Stripes still wave Forever o'er the free and brave, Right away, come away, right away, come away. And let our motto ever be - "For Union and for Liberty!" Right away, come away, right away, come away. Then we'll all go down to Dixie, Away, away, Each Dixie boy must understand, That he must mind his Uncle Sam, Away, away, And we'll all go down to Dixie. Away, away, And we'll all go down to Dixie. The Misfit
HDNet shows this Jethro Tull concert from around 1970 (Isle of Wight). Really interesting viewing -- Ian Anderson talks about why he started playing the flute (to distinguish themselves from other bands) and why he played with one leg raised (their first concert review mentioned he played that way, even though he wasn't aware he was going that, so he made it part of the act) among other interesting tidbits. This may be my favorite Tull song, along with Bouree.
