Buffy wasn't all that great towards the end, but then Angel was getting better so that helped the withdrawal. Exactly how I felt. I was tiring of Buffy towards the end and was starting to watch it out of obligation to the characters (like the show Friends in which the last 2 seasons mostly blew chunks). The resulting two current series have done far better then I think anyone ever could have expected from the original movie.
