What's your favorite breakfast?

Recommended Posts

When talking about regular, everyday, meat & potatoes breakfast I'll take eggs over easy, side of bacon & some buttered toast to sop up the yolk. But my the best breakfast item I've ever had is a seafood omelet made at a local eatery that has this awesome hollandaise sauce, huge lump blue crab meat & and fresh gulf shrimp...yum!

My favorite breakfast dates back to when I was a kid - Scrambled eggs with bacon crumbles mixed in and cheese.

My favorite breakfast to make is eggs benedict.

There's nothin' like IHOP's Breakfast Sampler. Two eggs, two slices of bacon, two sausage links, slice o' ham, two pancakes and hash browns.

I change mine up a bit though, going with extra sausage instead of bacon and extra hash browns instead of the ham. And I order it with their delicious chocolate chip pancakes.

Now I'm hungry for some breakfast.

Overall, I'd likely vote a breakfast burrito. Frankly, I like all classic variations (potato and chili, potato and egg, egg and chorizo)

That said, that is a meal that we take rather seriously around the house on a pretty regular basis and have it down to some pretty solid regulars.

Over easy eggs, buttered toast, bacon (when we go out, home fries are a nice addition)

Whitefish salad bagel with lettuce, cucumber slices, red onion, and tomato

The aforementioned burritos

Then we fill out the other days with smooties, or cereal (sometimes hot sometimes cold)

Of course, a strong cup of good coffee is paramount

What? No toaster strudles?

But seriously, dining at your place must be a wonderful experience, but I just don't have the patience for it, especially on Sunday morning. Good ole bacon and eggs suits me just fine.

I like chicken fried steak with biscuits and country gravy, scrambeled eggs and cheese or pancakes, sausage links with over medium eggs and toast on a seperate plate. Syrup and eggs mixing are gross.

Could we have your cholesterol count please?

How about a bowl of wheat Chex, sliced banana, covered in milk, with a glass of apple juice

Rare grilled venison tenderloin covered with fried eggs - OE, whole grain toast, quality OJ and taters fried with onion and jalepenos.

I just made myself hungry. Too bad I'm stuck at the library working hard on my thesis. :D

IMO, the two stone-cold lock hangover cures that I know of are menudo (insert annoying huddler jokes here) and dim sum.

I also should have included dim sum in my initial favorite breakfast post. I could sit there and eat all day long.

It might just be the McDonald's Sausage McMuffin with Egg & Cheese. I don't get that very often, but I always love it when I do.

The single finest breakfast sammich if found here in the south. Fried chicken biscuit. No challengers really.

Eggs Benedict or Biscuits and Gravy. Pretty much a dead heat.

The best hangover breakfast is French Toast with powdered sugar and REAL maple syrup.

+1. Love that at Chick-Fil-A.

As far as homecookin', I'm a big fan of a breakfast casserole (egg, sausage, green pepper, onion, jalapenos) with biscuits and gravy.

With sausage gravy. Can eat a dozen biscuits and a quart of gravy no problem. Wash it down with OJ. Add a couple eggs over easy on top of the b/g and we're talking heaven.
