Those NCEES exams are brutal, so I would expect the surveying one to be as such.

I got blindsided in the engineering NCEES exam I took last week :D

I took the engineering exam in NY. At the time, it wasn't broken up by discipline. If I remember, I think that I actually did a few mechanical problems that involved pumps in the afternoon session, in addition to a few hydraulics problems and a vertical/horizontal curve one that were from the civil section. I believe now that you are limited to your area of practice. The fun part is waiting the 4 months to get the results. :D

The AM session for the civil werebroad area questions.

The PM session was supposed to be in your choice of 5 specialty areas. Got blindsided as only a quarter of the questions there were related to the speciality area and too much in areas i had trouble in the AM part too. :D

I had prior qualifing credentals in Wisconsin, so it was less red tape to keep it in the same state.

And the capper, I believe that all states have reciprocity agreements with the exception of Florida, California and maybe New Jersey.

Excellent news BJ. Now go demand a raise from bully boss.
