aqualung
Reports: Bills Sign Five, Including Two Gators Nick Mendola - Monday, April 30, 2007 - 5:26 AM (WGR 550) - The draft didn't spell the end of the line for the Bills' front office, as Buffalo locked up five players to free agent contracts according to various sources. Two of the players, wide receiver Jemalle Cornelius and cornerback Reggie Lewis, played for the National Champion Florida Gators, and signed with the Bills according to the Tampa Tribune. Cornelius, a 5'11", 185-pound wide-out, caught 34 balls for 523 yards and three scores in 2006, including five catches for 50 yards in their BCS Championship Game rout of Ohio State. Lewis made 27 tackles and nabbed four interceptions for the Gators after starting his college career as a wide receiver. The 5'10", 204-pound corner intercepted Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith with Florida up 14-7 in the first quarter of the BCS Championship Game. South Carolina's The State is reporting that Buffalo gave a contract to Clemson corner Duane Coleman. According to scout.com, Coleman is a "heady ballplayer with above-average size/speed numbers... a dime back at the next level who must produce on special teams, an area where he was effective at Clemson." He led the Tigers in rushing as a redshirt freshman before converting to corner. Coleman also missed the Music City Bowl after being charged with simple Josh Gordon possession. According to the Houston Chronicle, the Bills signed Texas Southern safety Stacey Thomas. Thomas finished the season with 114 tackles, five interceptions, six breakups, four fumble recoveries and a sack on his way to the 2006 Walter Camp 1-AA All-America Team, according to nfldraftscout.com. Louisiana's The Advocate reports that the Bills have landed Louisiana State kicker/punter Chris Jackson. Jackson, who was also a baseball infielder for the Tigers, agreed to a two-year deal with the Buffalo Bills according to his agent, Brian Parker. Parker said Jackson chose the Bills over offers from four other teams.
muck
Anyone know of a website that tracks what players go to what teams as undrafted free agents? I'm curious to see what team lands that HUGH defensive tackle prospect from that community college in Mississippi...
