yo mama
I was cleaning out the garage last weekend and found a couple bags of old potting soil the prior owners left behind. However, when I opened it up it was filled with fungus, bugs, and other nasty stuff. What's the best way to dispose of this (other than by catapult)? Given the bugs and fungus, is it safe to dump it in my composter? Can I safely mix it into my veggie planter box soil? Trash can it? Thanks in advance. Spread it out over the cracked linoleum floor...two birds with one stone!

Ursa Majoris
If you have a yard refuse collection weekly, put it out for them - may need to slip the guy $10 to take it. Alternatively, drive around until you find a dumpster, then heave it in there. Edited June 4, 2007 by Ursa Majoris
Savage Beatings
Pour it inside an old sock that you can hide inside the leg of your pants... then each time you go to take a walk, pull a string that will dump the dirt out onto the ground, and just kick it so that it mixes in with the rest of the dirt. detlef
The problem with putting it in the composter is that you'll need to make sure that it makes up a very small percentage of the total amount. Dirt doesn't compost so it will really slow things down unless there's a bunch of "compostable" matter.

yo mama
When did the Nazis take Yo Mama a prisoner of war? When I saw that recommendation I thought to myself: "I'm gonna need Charles Bronson to pull this mission off."
Jimmy Neutron
should be fine in the composter.. the heat in there will kill any bugs or fungus... Just add half a bag at a time - it'll be a fine contribution to compost.
