detlef
If you take a power drill and drill out 1" wide holes into the base and then pour undilluted round-up into them on regular intervals, you might manage. Depending on the tree, however, it will take a whole lot.

The Irish Doggy
Just spray round up on the leaves then if its only a shrubbery. Ni!
yo mama
If you take a power drill and drill out 1" wide holes into the base and then pour undilluted round-up into them on regular intervals, you might manage. Depending on the tree, however, it will take a whole lot. Don't forget to start the hole by using a circular blade attachment to the power drill, so that you end up having a "cap" to plug the hole with afterwards. And if the Round Up doesn't work, I hear battery acid is effective. However, please be advised the it may be a crime in your jurisdiction to knowingly kill certain trees. In addition, if another property owner has an interest in that tree, you may subject yourself to civil liability if you damage or kill the tree. And as a God-fearing, law-abiding, righteous republican-type, I know you would never do such a thing. Therefore, if you feel there is a chance your actions may be unlawful, I advise you to register Libertarian before proceeding.
