wiegie
Mommy Hilton told reporters: "It is what it is and it's in God's hands now." She added: "It's out of our hands. There's nothing we can do."
Goopster24
We are watching this at work right now, this is the funniest thing ever. She has to be one of the stupidest figures in American entertainment history.
CaP'N GRuNGe
The one to laugh at in this situation is not Hilton but the messed up judicial system. What kind of system decides one day to send you home and the next to haul you back to prison.

TimC
Awesome. Did they shackle her?
TimC
Baca dismissed the criticism, saying the decision was made based on medical advice. "It isn't wise to keep a person in jail with her problem over an extended period of time and let the problem get worse," Baca told the Los Angeles Times on Thursday. __________________ Crabs CAN get worse in prison. yo mama
Good. People should serve the sentences they receive. Granted, I'd prefer to see that principle first applied to sex offenders. But I'll take what I can get.
cliaz
Here is a picture of her crying: http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/06/08/p...n.ap/index.html I'm going to slick one off to this. I'm happy a Celeb is finally being treated right [even though its a weak a$$ 45 day sentence in a special ward of a jail]
Big Country
I don't get the happiness here. Due to overcrowding, a large number of non-violent misdemeanor offenders are let go after serving no more than 10% of their sentence. In this case, she did that, plus agreed to serve longer under house arrest. She is indeed receving special treatment.... she is being treated a lot harsher than the majority of people would be having committed similar crimes. Pope Flick
The Los Angeles County jail system is so overcrowded that attorneys and jail officials have said it is not unusual for nonviolent offenders like Hilton to be released after serving as little as 10 percent of their sentences. Punishing her more than the average person simply because she IS a celebrity isn't right either.

TimC
Punishing her more than the average person simply because she IS a celebrity isn't right either. She's already punished enough for paying higher taxes simply because she has money.
PantherDave
No Way, she's considers herself to be above the law here-she desreves nothing but what she has been sentenced. She chose to ignore her probation because she considers herself..above that..she fugged up and it's time to pay the piper-period.

CaP'N GRuNGe
Why send her to prison when we could put an M-16 in her hands and send her to protect our border?

So, does every other person that has violated probation or driven on a suspended license deserve to spend 45 days behind bars? What if, as has been implied in a couple news stories, that the typical punishment for her types of offenses are generally not jail time, and, when it is, generally only about the amount of time that she has served with no additional monitoring afterwards? It doesn't matter. She's a snotty rich person so the typical response from the masses is to want to see her suffer.

I do see your point, but she needs some humility in her life and it is most likely a personal vendetta. She could have kept her mouth shut and most likely would have gotten out earlier...she spewd off and only made it worse for herself....a lesson in humilty and nothing more from someone on the planet who could actually give her one-my
