yo mama 20 Posted June 12, 2007 Watched the film Silent Hill last night. I can't remember the last "scary" film that actually scared me. And so disturbing; lots of 'Hellraiser-esque" imagery (the good one, not the crappy sequels). I liked the fact that the film, though mildly linear, was not subject to a cliche, formulaic plot line. (I ended up rooting for the demons). Though, the closing scene made very little sense to me, unless they were throwing in some sort of alternate dimension into the mix without adequate explanation. Certainly not a film for the kids, and probably not much of a date movie. But the film did what it set out to do rather well, IMO.

yo mama 20 Posted June 12, 2007 I wanted to see this movie but all i heard was how bad it was...maybe i will rent it afterall... I can see why most people wouldn't like this film. You'd have to dig movies like Saw, Hellraiser, Hostel, or films with disturbing images like Requiem for a Dream.
Piranha 41 Posted June 12, 2007 I thought it was ok. Wasn't it made after a video game?

jetsfan 84 Posted June 12, 2007 Video game came first. and was excellent. The control scheme stunk, but the story and game-play were phenomenal.

WaterMan 4 Posted June 13, 2007 My friend loves the games and supposedly the opening follows the game frame by frame. I loved the movie because you can tell which parts were played in the game.

Saw it for the first time last night. Not even close to Hellraiser. A resounding meh.
