H8tank 0 Posted June 19, 2007 Is this typical? A fifth-grade promotion ceremony in Rancho Palos Verdes turned into a free-speech battleground Thursday, when students were asked to remove weapons from toys that had been placed on mortarboard caps because of the school's zero-tolerance policy for weapons on campus. On Thursday, before the ceremony, one boy was told he couldn't participate unless he agreed to clip off the tips of the plastic guns carried by the minuscule GIs on his cap. http://www.dailybreeze.com/news/articles/8...l?showAll=y&c=y LOL!!! isleseeya 124 Posted June 20, 2007 You're all missing the point here. It's so Fracking ridiculous that 5th graders graduate from anything. ? ...if they completed their time in one school and are moving on to middle school (grades 6 thru 8th ) then in fact they have graduated Doesn't meant they wear caps and gowns and have a ceremony in the middle of madison square garden but they have in fact graduated
