Cincinnatti having only one playoff appearance is :D .

Yeah, that was 2005. Amazingly, that was their ONLY season with a winning record though they had several 8-8 years.

Not that surprising when you consider Palmer is only entering his 3rd full season as a starter and they were the Bungles up until 05. He started 13 games in 04 and threw 18 int's to match his 18 TD's as he was learning the rigors of an NFL season!

It would be interesting to see the same stats from the 60s- 90s. Although we pretty much know who the teams of the decades were....

60s- Packers

70s- Steelers

80s- 49ers

90s- Cowboys

I wouldn't be surprised if the stats were run for the 1970s that either the Raiders or the Cowboys (or maybe both) would outrank PIT in most of the categories that DMD complied above.

Pats the toast of the decase so far ...philly has little to show for all the wins and stats they accumulated for this decade ..breaks my heart

Three super bowls and the most wins definitely make this the Pats decade at least so far. If the Colts can string together a couple more SB and finish the decade very strongly - very possible - then the Pats lose out because they ended weaker than the started. But that may not happen anyway. The only thing I am sure of is that this will not be a memorable decade for the Lions.

Vikings in 70's had a very good W-L record and very good offense and defense....Just could not win the Big One :D

Hmm...out of the top 4 only the Eagles haven't won the SB. They're due! Yes, I'm a glass half-full kinda guy. :D

Well... speaking as a Dallas fan, the Eagles would have to stop playing for the rest of the decade before Dallas would catch up so you got that going for you. :D

Brady, the O and Belichik get much of the fanfare but to be only 59 points off one of the best Ds in NFL history is very impressive.

Especially when you consider all those Super Bowls and aside from Richard Seymour there really aren't any HOFers there. Seau is in, but his best years were last decade and on a different team. Harrison has been a mainstay but he hasn't made a Pro Bowl in 6 years and only has 2 for his career.

NE is unquestionably the best team of the decade right now. In fact, it would be difficult for true football fans to not admire they way they isolate & then pick apart opposing Ds while being so much greater the talent of their individual pieces on D. If their fans didn't act so arrogantly entitled and their QB wasn't such a whiny b!tch, they's be downright likable.

Good to see NE on top of all those list. Yes they are the dynasty of this decade!

It's the post-Barry hangover. The Lions are waking up now. Don't try to confuse me with stats. The roar is coming back! Coming back I tell ya! :D

I wish Philly had a ring to show for their success. Their organization is great and they have been so close so many times.
