The Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest is one of the 3 greatest sporting events in the world. Joey Chestnut vs. Koboyashi is shaping up to be one of the great rivalries in sports. It's just awsome. It makes the Kentucky Derby look like shuffleboard. . .

You have to love the way the announcers got into this thing:

 

"If Chesnut can hold on to this lead for another 39 seconds this will go down as the greatest accomplishment in the history of American Sports."

 

And after the final results were official:

 

"When you google "American Hero tomorrow, you're going to get Abe Lincoln, maybe Neil Armstrong, Taylor Hicks.......and Joey Chesnut."

 

Taylor Hicks....that's f'n classic stuff. Bravo ESPN for the coverage.
