That brings back memories. My parents ran a teen hot spot in the 50's called the "Snack Bar" situated about 20 yards away from the high school doors. At lunch the place was packed, after school it was packed, and into the evening it was booming. Another thing that comes to mind is each morning outside the school is playing marbles, but especially stopping at the local garage on the way to pick up some steelies the mechanics always gave us. The 50's can't be the 50's without Beeman's, Clove and Blackjack. I think Teaberry was then too, wasn't it? I had five siblings born between the mid-30's to the mid-40's so even when I was a youngun' I heard and seen all from my brothers and sisters.
