CaP'N GRuNGe
I've narrowed down my cell phone search to the HTC Mogul with Sprint service. The phone is pretty pricey going thru Sprint ($300 after rebates). I've looked at Letstalk.com and Wirefly.com and no really great deal on this phone there yet either. I did notice there are a bunch of different sellers on E-bay who identify themselves as Sprint resellers. You can get this phone for $99.99 and then somehow work with them to sign the contract with Sprint. Anybody ever gone this route for a phone? Any other tips/ideas where to get this phone at a decent price? I'm actually wanting two of the phones with a family plan and an unlimted data plan. CaP'N GRuNGe
Thank you for your interest in the 6800 offered on Ebay. This offer is subject to a two year agreement and approved credit with Sprint. It can not be used to upgrade existing Sprint service. The phone must be activated on a $39.99 or higher voice plan for two years and can not be switched to a family share add-on($0-$20)/sero plan. If you want to port a number(s) from another carrier, please allow up to five days for the number to port.(other then Nextel) This time period is needed to prevent loss of phone service and shipping time. I will need to run a credit check (SSN#) with Sprint to qualify you for this offer if you do not have a current Sprint account. I can not create a new account that requires a deposit or has a spending limit attached. If you have any questions or would like to finalize your order, please let me know Paul R Lozelle Preferred Cellular & Satellite ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm a little leary about handing out my SSN... H8tank
I have a buddy who will buy or sell phones on ebay for personal use, never with a plan though. With Tmobile, you can just switch the simm card to any phone and use it.
peepinmofo
Before you buy a phone, if you do, be sure to get the ESN number and have it checked from Sprint to see if it is a stolen phone. On top of that, I too would be a bit skeptical about giving out my SS#. Save yourself the hassle... Spend a few extra bucks, and get it from a reputable source.
