The Vatican Hitsquad
Though not rock, Seal's first self titled CD "SEAL" is totally a solid project from start to finish. bravo, a big +1 here. Â His music is great in general, but that album is just fantastic and still holds up well today. A perfect album.
The Vatican Hitsquad
Queensryche--Operation Mindcrime Oh, Hell no. Â Maybe if this thread was titled "GREATEST F'N METAL ALBUM EVER", then I would agree. "single best rock album" does not do Mindcrime justice. The Vatican Hitsquad
Spinal Tap - Shark Sandwich come on, i read the 2 word review for that album... "Sh1t sandwich". Â Â You joke, but the Spinal Tap soundtrack is a fantastic album. Big Bottom and Sex Farm are the shiznit. I agree, but the songs that I really love are "Stonehenge" and "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock ya Tonight" Edited July 26, 2007 by The Vatican Hitsquad
SheikYerbuti
I agree, but the songs that I really love are "Stonehenge" and "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock ya Tonight"  I present Exhibit A:  Working on a sex farm Trying to raise some hard love Getting out my pitch fork Poking your hay  Scratching in your henhouse Sniffing at your feedbag Slipping out your back door Leaving my spray  Sex farm woman, I'm gonna mow you down Sex farm woman, I'll rake and hoe you down Sex farm woman, don't you see my silo rising high?  Working on a sex farm Hosing down your barn door Bothering you livestock They know what I need  Working up a hot sweat Crouching in your pea patch Plowing through your beanfield Planting my seed  Sex farm woman, I'll be your hired hand Sex farm woman, I'll let my offer stand Sex farm woman, don't you hear my tractor rumbling by?  Working on a sex farm Trying to raise some hard love Getting out my pitch fork Poking your hay  And Exhibit B:  The bigger the cushion, the sweeter the pushin That's what I said. The looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand Or so I have read. My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo. I'd like to sink her with my pink torpedo. Big bottom Big bottom Talk about bum cakes, My girl's got 'em. Big bottom, Drives me out of my mind. How can I leave this behind? I saw her on monday, twas my lucky bun day You know what I mean. I love her each weekday, each velvety cheekday You know what I mean. My love gun's loaded and she's in my sights Big game's waiting there inside her tights Big bottom Big bottom Talk about mud flaps My gal's got 'em. Big bottom Drive me out of my mind. How can I leave this behind?   The defense rests.
The Vatican Hitsquad
PPft!  I counter with Exhibit C:  Stonehenge, where the demons dwell Where the banshees live and they do live well Stonehenge Where a man is a man and the children dance to the pipes of pan Stonehenge Tis a magic place where the moon doth rise With a dragon's face Stonehenge Where the virgins lie And the prayer of devils fill the midnight sky And you my love, won't you take my hand We'll go back in time to that mystic land Where the dew drops cry and the cats meow I will take you there I will show you how    And the showstopper Exhibit D:  Little girl, it's a great big world but there's only one of me You can't touch 'cause I cost too much but Tonight I'm gonna rock you Tonight I'm gonna rock you Tonight! You're sweet but you're just four feet And you still got your baby teeth You're too young and I'm too well hung Tonight I'm gonna rock you Tonight I'm gonna rock you Tonight! You're hot, you take all we got, not a dry seat in the house Next day, we'll be on our way Tonight I'm gonna rock you Tonight! Chorus: Little girl, it's a great big world, but there's only one of me-

Ursa Majoris
When I saw the ad for Spine of God, I thought "hmm, cool name, cool looking album art, cool title" - when I saw the tagline "It's a Satanic drug thing, you wouldn't understand", I was sold. Spine of God is a great album, no doubt. Tough to pick any one of the MM CDs - I have all of them - but Superjudge and Monolithic Baby are both awesome also. The Right Stuff from the latter reprises a Robert Calvert song from his concept album Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters and is even better live. The Monster Magnet concert I saw a couple years back was just fantastic and included that song.

TDFFFreak
Vs. Nice. Agree with this. Â I'll throw in Everclear, So Much For The Afterglow. Not a classic band by a long shot and I've played this album so much that I am now sick of it, but it realy does rock.
dread
Possibly one of the greatest wall-to-wall explosions of talent I've ever seen had to be Jeff Buckley's Grace - though it may not be "rock" per se, it is simply brilliant from start to finish. Â Couldn't agree more, it's an amazing album.
skylive5
Good call on Wakeman, I particularly lilked the Six Wives of Henry the VIII. Did you like him with Yes or strictly solo?  Oddly enough...while I liked Yes, I have a ton of Wakeman albums and not a single Yes album. So I guess I will go with solo over group.
untateve
Sgt Pepper and Abbey Road. Great albums. Â Easily in my top 5, Dark Side of the Moon. Â I also think The Wall and Wish You Were Here are great albums. Â Led Zep 4 (ZOSO) is also one of my favorites...although selling out to cadillac has hurt their image in my view. Ursa Majoris
Driving in to work this morning and as usual waking myself up with very loud music, it once again struck me what a great album Blast Tyrant by Clutch is. No track is even close to meh - this album is just about perfect, if you're a fan of this kind of music.
