jayjay1
I am in a 10-Man keeper league where we can keep only 3 players. The players we keep cannot be ranked in the same round. If you keep a player in the 1st round, you lose your first round pick and so on. Below are players I have to choose from along with our scoring system. What 3 players would you keep? Round 1: Larry Johnson, Frank Gore Round 2: Reggie Bush Round 3: Edgerrin James Round 4: Larry Fitzgerald Round 5: Lee Evans Round 6: Tony Gonzalez Round 7: Tony Romo, DeAngelo Williams Round 8: Matt Leinart Scoring for Offensive Categories FL - Fumble Lost, Including ST plays -1 point IKRTD - Individual Kick Return TD 6 points Plus 2 points for a IKRTD of 40 to 59 Yds Plus 4 points for a IKRTD of 60 to 79 Yds Plus 6 points for a IKRTD of 80+ Yds IPRTD - Individual Punt Return TD 6 points Plus 2 points for a IPRTD of 40 to 59 Yds Plus 4 points for a IPRTD of 60 to 79 Yds Plus 6 points for a IPRTD of 80 to 120 Yds Pa2P - Passing Two-point Conversion 2 points PaInt - Passing Interception -1 point PaTD - Passing TD 6 points Plus 2 points for a PaTD of 40 to 59 Yds Plus 4 points for a PaTD of 60 to 79 Yds Plus 6 points for a PaTD of 80+ Yds PaYd - Passing Yards 0+ PaYds = 1 point for every 20 PaYds Re2P - Receiving Two-point Conversion 2 points ReTD - Receiving TD 6 points Plus 2 points for a ReTD of 30 to 49 Yds Plus 4 points for a ReTD of 50 to 69 Yds Plus 6 points for a ReTD of 70+ Yds ReYd - Receiving Yards 0 - 999 ReYds = 1 point for every 10 ReYds Recpt - Reception 1 point Ru2P - Rushing Two-point Conversion 2 points RuTD - Rushing TD 6 points Plus 2 points for a RuTD of 30 to 49 Yds Plus 4 points for a RuTD of 50 to 69 Yds Plus 6 points for a RuTD of 70+ Yds RuYd - Rushing Yards 0 - 999 RuYds = 1 point for every 10 RuYds
Chief Dick
Gore, Bush, and Fitzgerald.
jayjay1
If I did that, who would you taerget in the 3rd round? RB QB WR
Feartheturtle
I agree with Chief D-Gore Bush and Fitzgerald. That's a good nucleus, but by no means are you set at any position, so just target the best available player in the 3rd round. Good luck! Big Country
Ditto the others. ANd the 3rd round target depends on who is available and lineup requirements.
jayjay1
I was thinking of going with Gore, Bush & E. James. Our lineup requirements are as follows: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex (RB or WR), 1 TE, 1 K & 1 DEF It comes down to picking James in the 3rd round and starting out w/ a 4th round pick OR picking Fitzgerald in the 4th round and starting out w/ a 3rd round pick. Thoughts???
Chief Dick
If you keep Fitz you get your 3rd round pick. Any idea who might be available?
jayjay1
It's hard to tell since we have not reported our 3 keepers yet, but here is a guess. Lee Evans, Cadillac Williams, Ahman Green, John Kitna, Donald Driver, Vince Young, Andre Johnson, TJ Housh, Javon Walker, A. Boldin, Mar,. Lynch. There may be a few others. You never know who what rounds people decide to keep people in.
Chief Dick
Well, since you start 2 RB's I would keep Bush and Gore. Then in the 3rd grab someone like Andre Johnson. He would be paired up nicely with Fitz. No reason to keep Edge because you have one starting RB sitting on the bench every week. Better to have two #1 WR's actually producing points on a week to week basis than dead points on the bench.
jayjay1
I could also keep either of the following QB's Romo 7th round Leinart 8th round This would give me picks in rounds 3-6 for sure.
jayjay1
Edge would not be on the bench, because we can start 1 flex player that can be either a RB or WR.

Chief Dick
I'd still keep Gore, Bush and Fitz. You may still get Edge back anyway.

Bronco Billy
Who in the hell drafted Gore in the 1st round last year? Nevermind - I see that it goes by ranking, not previous draft position. Edited August 21, 2007 by Bronco Billy
