Mountaineer
Who: Mountaineer-WVU alum and Redskins fan What: Graphic Designer and procrastinator. When: 33 (1970) Where: Hamilton, NJ (Home of the world famous anthrax post office) by way of West Virginia Why: FF is a great way to feed my football obsession. Fantasy Bio: Started playing FF in 91’ with some friends at college. That league is still going today and has evolved into a dynasty league. There are owners from Detroit, Chicago, Pittsburgh, WV and New Jersey in this league... which I also commish. I have won this league 4 times and appeared in 2 other championship games. I’ve been in another dynasty league for 5 years (local, NJ league). I’ve won this league once and lost the in championship game this season. There have been plenty of highlights in my fantasy career, but the lowlights seem to stick with me. A couple of lowlights that come to mind are losing a playoff game back in 96’ (I think) when Chris Boniel kicked 7 FGs against the Packers. Another lowlight was my failure to draft a TE at the initial draft for my local FF league (TE required). I’ve been around the huddle for quite some time, but I haven’t posted on the message board all that often.
Gonkis
I read a lot more than I write in Huddle because I think Newbies should respect the flow and get used to the tone before spouting off. Who: Diligence (because I'm the only one who knows about Huddle in my league) What: BA Physics, BSEE, MBA (even though I firmly believe college degrees don't matter if you have a good work ethic) When: 31 and 11 months old going on 40 as I have 4 kids and only two out of diapers. Where: Grew up in Michigan, now in Cleveland with a bunch of Bucknut fans Why: This was my first FF season and I lost in the SB to my neighbor. I need retribution in a serious way, but will put up with his bragging the entire summer. At least Michigan beat OSU or else this year would have been a complete loss. I mean COMPLETE. Cleveland must have the worst professional sports teams in the nation. I miss the Tigers of 1984 and the Pistons of 1989-90 and... Barry Sanders. (Can you say "high potential for human data entry error"?) Now with 12 teams and owners all over the country - this newfangled Internet thing just might catch on. Just in the on league - no time for more. (Besides - how can you root for a guy in one breath and root against him for your other league? Weird...) Began on the Huddle in 2001, but just started posting this year. Won the (inaugural?) College Bowl this year, thanks to the "wimpy" Pac 10, and love to spew vs. Sgt Ryan, especially after his team lost by 4 TDs to KS2K's team! Best site I have seen....
