Steelhead
they've been decimated by injuries and are an avg defense. Does anyone see them turning it around and becoming a top 5 def this year?

LilMikey
I dunno, looking at their schedual I'd say yes but it depends on the seriousness of the injuries.
Ursa Majoris
they've been decimated by injuries and are an avg defense. Does anyone see them turning it around and becoming a top 5 def this year? In brief, no. They can limit (but not stop) either the run or the pass but not both at the same time. With Urlacher's time ticking down, a probably still unsettled Briggs, the Tank affair, numerous secondary injuries and an inability to adjust the scheme, they are in disarray. The 34 4th quarter points given up to Detroit (an NFL record) was a clear pointer that the Bears D is nowhere close to an elite defense.
