Sgt. Ryan
As great as this season was, for all the drama all year and the upsets. What do we have to show for it? A media darling backing into the NC game, in its own backyard, win the mythical NC game, with 2 loses. It now sucks. Now I know why I hate parity. BS Miscreant
I will never second guess the enjoyment I got out of this topsy turvy season simply because we don't "know" who the NC is. Screw conventional wisdom and the regular dominance of the college football "elite". I certainly don't like my teams losing but knowing it can happen at any time makes football watching much more interesting.

theeohiostate
If LSU fans have the need to defend their team being a legitimate #1 team, then NUFF SAID !
Sgt. Ryan
LSU is as worthy a NC participant as the Dallas Cowboys are a worthy SB participant Cause if this was the way the NFL does things, Dallas would be in the SB. Jesus, guys give it a rest. LSU won both polls and have the trophy. Deal with it
GWPFFL BrianW
Still though, weakest national champion, probably ever. Maybe BYU in the 80's? I can't get over it. 2 losses. A National Champion win 2 losses.

sacosud
Jesus, guys give it a rest. LSU won both polls and have the trophy. Deal with it I agree. LSU won the title and I don't see any reason why they don't be allowed to enjoy their title. They remind me of our 2002 season and that was filled with close calls. Illinois(overtime) Purdue (Holy Buckeye) Michigan( 14-9) last second pick to end it in our endzone) LSU had it's close games and flat out won the title and it's not their fault the game was played in the Super Dome. I don't like the system as it is, but it's what we got and they are the champs. (speaking of where all the Bowls are located)

theeohiostate
Have to give it to LSU though. They were undefeated in regulation and just happen to be the 1st team voted as pageant winner to have lost to TWO unranked teams

I knew you would agree since it makes your buckeye's 38-17 blowout loss to LSU's 1st team easier to swallow.
gilthorp
In addition, they got the Bucks worst game of the season and escaped by a homefield margin. Hold on...which of their losses was their worst game? I'm confused.

Hold on...which of their losses was their worst game? I'm confused. While you're at it, would you explain your theory on homefield being worth 14 pts? Most oddsmakers tend to numbers closer to 3, but I'd love to hear your take. Actually, I wouldn't. Never mind.
