piratesownninjas
It's going to be weird seeing Rodgers start... I must admit though, I'm glad that we won't have Favre holding retirement over the packers organization. I'm also annoyed that he said during the off season that the Packers needed to bring in offensive playmakers... I guess he forgot that he threw that duck up to Corey Webster. ALso hearing that he was upset that Ted Thompson hadn't been calling and checking on him enough to his liking really disappoints me. I don't think he's handled himself very well the past few seasons with his comments about the organization, but it will in no way taint his legacy and how important he was to me. I agree with everything you say here. Favre has been the franchise and also somewhat held the franchise hostage. He's a big kid in an adult body in just about every way it seems. His retirement does totally excite me on the Packers though. Next season will be very interesting. Hopefully not... disappointing. So much revolves around the QB position and that's been him exclusively for so long. It'll be a very new look team just with the one player difference. I'm still not 100% certain it's over with Favre. It doesn't seem like the door is totally closed yet.
MikesVikes
It's going to be fun to watch Rodgers getting knocked on his ass twice a year. ...I'm sure that I'll catch at least that many Packer games when they don't play the Vikes.

It's also fun to know that our quarterback who has never started a game in this league is a lot better than what you're putting on the field.
