Linked In - the Huddle networking connection

I've set up a group at Linked In for Huddle members.

It's semi "official" as Dorey has allowed me use of the Huddle logo for this venture.

Perhaps this can be pinned if the mods feel it worthy.

Linked in is a networking site for business professionals.

All walks of life are there, but it is for professionals. It is not a myspace or dating like place.

It's big for executives, owners, lawyers, and IT professions, but not restricted to those.

I joined last week and have found a few old contacts that I haven't spoken to in years.

You can connect with current or former co-workers or classmates. Or can connect with new ones.

You never know who your next job offer comes from or who may have the answer to a job related question.

There are groups to join and some of these groups have a hidden job market.

However, some head hunters do recruiting via the network.

If you feel you'd like to join up, do the following:

New members, go here:

https://www.linkedin.com/secure/register?trk=hb_join

After membership, click this link to the Huddle group:

http://www.linkedin.com/e/gis/80091/7C8A0F061D69

The group manager will have to approve your entrance into the Huddle group. PM me...

The Huddle logo will only appear on screen for those in the Huddle group.

Since we don't use our real names on this messageboard, PM me if you wish to add me personally as a contact/connection.

I've used LinkedIn for a while now. It's like an interactive resume. I have my info out there and former bosses and coworkers have written recommendations for me.

I also had a few people contact me about business relationships and opportunities through it.

I joined the group.
