Capt. Stanky
I must admit I'm minutes away from hitting the panic button. I'm in a 8 team 10 player keeper in it's 6th season. We start 2 QB's, 2RB's, 3WR's, 1TE, 1K, 1Def. Since we start 2 QB's they are every bit as important as RB's. I'm worried about my QB situation with the way Palmer looked this weekend. I'm considering sending the following trade offer: I Give Bulger and Forte I get Warner and Leinert Here's my team: QB's Romo, Palmer, Bulger, Pennington RB's Addai, J-Lew, RBrown, Forte, CJohnson, MMorris WR's Braylon, Colston, Calvin Johnson, Burelson, RBrown, JMorgan TE Witten Would I be giving up too much? Should I stand pat and wait a few more weeks before doing something drastic?
femmefootball
I feel ya on the Palmer issue... I have him too, in a 2QB league, and Brady was my other starter BUT, I say wait a week. I think you'll be suprised by Forte - he may end up worthy of your #2 RB spot if Lewis and Johnson don't shape up. He looked great against Indy. As for Palmer, I would wait a week anyhow - he is a good QB, and if the OL in CIN can give him a couple seconds to throw he'll put up some good numbers. PS might want to drop Burelson for someone like Eddie Royal if he's still available...
Capt. Stanky
Yeah, I typically overreact, so I wanted to post something to help pull the reigns in. Any other opinions on this? Before the season started I was able to trade Roeth, Chad Johnson & CPerry for Romo, Calvin Johnson & MMorris. I'm a Bengals fan, so I could see what was about to happen. I figured I should try and trade some Bengals while they still had value. I'm wishing I would have tried to move Palmer too. After the trade went through a couple people in the league said they wouldn't be surprised if my team went undefeated. I don't know if I got jinxed, but I had the lowest point total in the league last week. Even though I lost I was pleasantly surprised in the play from my Rookie RB's (CJohnson & Forte). I've never had so many pieces to play with in trades. I feel like a mad scientist...Mwahhahahaha...Mwahhahaha Edited September 9, 2008 by Capt. Rushmore
Stay the course buddy. The guy is throwing in Leinart? Are you kidding me? Unless he offers an RB3/WR3, you don't budge an inch. I'm not saying Palmer is going to be great this year but play your match-ups (and that includes throwing Pennington into the line-up) and you'll be fine. Medal of Honor
It's raining men! Hallelulah! It's raining men!... you have Romo. Stay the course. Just start Bulger out in front of Palmer till he figures stuff out. I can't believe people are freaking on THE Carson Palmer after one day.
