Shorttynaz
My current team is in my roster. PPR league. We start 2 RB's and 3 WR's, and we have a WR/RB flex position. My plan was to start 4 WR's and 2 RB's. I have my starters listed in my signature in bold. So.. Here's what I was just offered. Should I do it? He's giving me: Eddie Royal Ray Rice FOR Chris Johnson Should I do it? Meaning I'll be starting either Ray Rice or Jonathan Stewart (instead of Chris Johnson) along with Eddie Royal until Colston comes back. The way I see it is - I'm getting 2 potential players and they're costing me one stud in the making. MrCarter
I vote no, Brandon Marshall will take away from Royal and Rice was anything but impressive week 1. Stick with CJ

Shorttynaz
I vote no too. It looks good but Marshall will be the man there Ugh.. This isn't that big of a trade, but it could be.. Moss is the man in NE, however Welker put up nice numbers too. For years, Harrison was the man in Indy, but Wayne was getting his too. Fitz and Boldin, Holt and Bruce, Moss and Carter.. There are/have been some great 1-2 punches out there. This could be another one.. I dont know.. I'll wait for a couple more opinions before I close the door. I do appreciate your advice though! MrCarter
it just seems like you'd be weakening your RB core for an already decent WR roster if you look at the schedule CJ is due for some solid numbers in the coming weeks.
SLGRAF
I would not make that deal. I think Johnson has quite a bit more value than Rice at this point, and, regarding Royal, hard to tell what will happen to his looks in the Denver offense once Marshall returns, since that will mean three solid to good WRs with Marshall, Royal, and Stokley, and a good TE with Scheffler, and the fact that Denver usually prefers to run the ball near the goal-line. lawn saver
Voted no. Johnson has huge upside and will be the man here shortly. Marshall is back and Royal wil not get the looks he got last week
Shorttynaz
I know it's only been one week, and we're talking about 3 unproven rookies here. Even before this offer, I was contemplating shopping Johnson while his value was high. The problem I see with Johnson is they really dont have a passing game, and for the most part, teams are going to stack the box - but he is my #2. If I were to do this, I'd be playing the matchups between J Stewart or Ray Rice. Ray Rice has nice potential, however he has #1 - McGahee in front of him, and #2 - he plays for the Ravens. So the deal here really is Johnson for Royal. My gut is telling me to do this, however everyone who has responded here has told me that this isn't a good offer. This is a PPR league which adds value to both players. Both players have the potential to be the #1 rookie at their position(s) this year. However I do see why people say not to do it. I already have 3 solid WR's and Colston is only out for maybe half the season. But then you go back to Rice. It's only a matter of time before the job in Baltimore is his. I dont know.. I'm still on the fence.. Edited September 11, 2008 by Shorttynaz
Shorttynaz
What if I countered and asked for Brandon Marshall??? Think he'd tell me to get bent? Edited September 11, 2008 by Shorttynaz
