BigMikeinNY
The Express click on "Video" I cannot wait to watch this movie next month in the theater. It is one of the greatest stories ever. I was born and raised in Syracuse, NY; this man has been described as nothing less than a hero. Those of you that don't know alot about Mr. Ernie Davis, well.....please make sure to see the movie in 4 weeks. AtomicCEO
I'd rather see: A Day of Glory: The Brock Forsey Story or Everyone's Fault But Mine: The Al Davis Story

Missoula Griz
I'd rather see: A Day of Glory: The Brock Forsey Story or Everyone's Fault But Mine: The Al Davis Story Or how to have a wine party with a bunch of Faaggs. I hear the ratings were awesome. Edited October 13, 2008 by Missoula Griz

detlef
So, finally got around to seeing this. It was pretty buried on the Netflix queue. At any rate, good story. Never knew anything about the guy. I'm curious about something though. It's obviously no secret that these guys had to put up with a ton of undeserved crap back in the day and I'm sure it was easy in the movie to portray, for instance, a bunch of nameless and faceless West Virginia players and fans as a-hole bigots. I'm sure it happened and it's not like they implicated anyone in particular (unless that was supposed to be the head coach who talked to the 'cuse head coach after the game). I'm more curious about the two All-American DLs from Texas. Were those actual people or just characters in the movie. Because they certainly weren't portrayed as very upstanding. I mean, these guys are likely still alive. Wonder how that went down. Curious if that brawl actually happened before halftime. ETA: confirmed the brawl did happen (though seemingly caused by something other than in the movie) but couldn't find info on the two All-American DLs for UT.
