RakeFighter
I didn't get to see today's game...can someone clue me in as to what the problem is in Cincy? I've started Kitna for the last two weeks, but I was kinda hoping to have Palmer at some point. Week one = -5 pts Week 2 = -10 pts Edited September 15, 2008 by RakeFighter
Seahawks21
Carson no longer has any confidence, or any help from his running game. He has been regressing for two years now. He was barely a top 10 fantasy QB last year and is continuing to slide. Sometimes he remembers that he can go downfield and good things will happen, but usually he is gunshy and ends up forcing the ball into small holes in the short/intermediate parts of the field instead. He often has happy feet which causes him to throw the ball high due to a shorter stride. He needs a few easy games to get things rolling again. Unfortunately, because of the team he plays on, it is very unlikely that he is going to have very many games where he doesn't have to try to play hero. That's about as good of an analysis of what's happening as I've read. The bottom line is that it's probably not going to get better until the Bengals clean house, both of coaches and players. So if you've got Palmer in a keeper league, I'd just stash him away. If you've got him in a redraft, you may have to cut bait in a few weeks when the injuries and byes start to hit. I put him in the same category as Bulger. Have you looked at Palmer's schedule? It is brutal. He plays the NFC east teams. I see a 15-20 TD, 20 + INT season
The Irish Doggy
To be fair, the Cincinnati area had the worst windstorm in recent memory due to the remnants of Ike passing by. Nobody was going to throw bombs in that game. Chad and TJ are shells of their former selves and the O-line isn't blocking effectively. I wouldn't lay all the blame on Palmer under these conditions. There's plenty for the whole offense. Going in the season, I was going to be happy with 8-8, but this looks like a 4-12 team through two games. I'd stay far away from all Cincy players at this point. The offense is in shambles.

Also until they get serious about ridding the team of the "gangsta thing" (and they have made it clear they are far from it) I don't see much good for this team. There is hope, but probably not for this year.
