michaelman
So like many moss owners... I'd just like to know what people think about Playing Moss if we have good alternative options I need to start 3. Moss @ Miami - Miami has gotten burned deep for 2 weeks now. But Cassel threw to moss less than 5 times. idiot cassel. TO @ GB - Clear start b/c he's a monster... doesn't matter who he's going against. Wayne @ Jax - Clear start b/c he's peyton's go to man in all situations. Now here comes the Dilemma... Not every1 else with moss has two clear cut starters... but they might have some of the options that I have: David Patten @ Den - We saw from week 2 that Patten is indeed the more targeted receiver with Colston out. And NO is playing DEN who got torched by Chambers and Rivers (who I think stinks). We could have another shoot out here. Eddie Royal @ NO - Same reasoning for Patten.. these two teams may be in for a big shootout.. just that royal was targeted less in week 2 than in week 1 with the return of Brandon Marshall. But he stepped it up BIG in the end and if I was cutler... I'd be feeling great about my weapons at WR. It was only the first week with Marshall back.. I think that as the season goes on... the looks will be a little more balanced do relieve pressure off of both receivers.... In fact that's pretty much what happened in the DEN - SD game at the last TD. They were almost CERTAIN that cutler was going to Marshall and he went to Royal... TWICE. Going to a ROOKIE TWO TIMES in a row... FOR THE GAME is saying a lot about who Cutler is looking for... (who ever is open ...not ALWAYS just Marshall) Edited September 15, 2008 by michaelman
PCs
Always start your studs...did you or did you not waste a 2nd round draft pick on Moss? Cassel will pick it up and for God's sake, it's against Miami!
michaelman
Cassel COULD pick it up... but not if he doesn't even try... he only threw short little puss y Lateral passes.. and slants.... and OOOooOO okay one attempt at a deep ball to moss... which missed... More opinions, ty
Flip_Side
You have Moss, Wayne, and TO? WOW....... Start all 3. Moss will get his this week, my team is known for giving up huge plays and I'm sure Moss will cash in. We made Warner look like Tom Brady Jr. this week. michaelman
yeah well look at my RBS... wayne started as fitzgerald that I traded with Favre to a Brady owner.... Anyways.. yeah MIA is known for giving up huge plays... but in week 2.. AND week 1 for that matter... didn't Cassel only attempt 1 long pass in each of the games?.. All of Cassel's passes in week 2 were easy little lateral passes to Rbs.. and easy quick slants... and One deep ball attempt that failed.. .. his completion ratings.. are very misleading.. More opinions, ty it was his FIRST game as a starter since HIgh School!!!! That being said, I think Belichick was content this week...IN New York.....to have Cassel manage the game (which he did....they came away with a W in NY)..... Being a New England homer, Cassel has said that he made mistakes (under throwing Moss), that he hopes will decrease as the season progresses....Moss will get his share....starting this week...at home...in Miami... Belichick and Pioli definitely see something in Cassel....if not, he would not have remained on the team...for 4 seasons...having never started a college game... electricrelish
Your WR core is AMAZING!!! I like Moss's match up this weekend. Go with Moss, T.O. and R. Wayne!!! Like everyone else said, try and trade a WR for a better RB. See mine: http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?showtopic=259797
michaelman
Oh and as far as.. Cassel Admitting his mistakes of under throwing to Moss that one time and hoping to connect on "that pass" later on in the season. What did he say... or what did Any Pats organization member say about only Looking for moss 3 times... they didn't even Look to him... I got that from Yahoo's looks and touches from week 2 report..
