slimshady31
Fellow Huddlers, I know Detroit is a mess and in disarray, but is anyone thinking along the lines that Kevin Smith will give up his job to veteran Rudi Johnson after week 5 or 6? I know RJ had a nice fantasy stats game vs. SFO in garbage time, but the reality is that when healthy I could see Rudi as taking over the starting RB role in DET with K.Smith struggling and the whole offense struggling. Is it too soon to snatch him up and stash him for mid-late season if he does well and use him as trade bait? Thinking of punting either Bulger or Selvin Young to make room for RJ off the waiver wires, but I may be too anxious...any thoughts?
khrisx42
Snatched him last night..I think he will take over the job..remember, only a yr ago he was a first round pick. When healthy he will put up numbers
rew70
Absolutely drop Bulger and pick him up. Keep Young though, he'll be valuable as the season moves along. Bulger's been benched and Rudi will take over the #1 spot eventually. Edited September 26, 2008 by rew70

TilsterBearz
Would you drop M.Bush(oak) for Rudi J? I could drop Delhomme but I have S.Smith to double dip. I do have Roy Williams and I don't like to have WR/RB from same team. Thanks. Edited September 26, 2008 by TilsterBearz
michaelman
I actually dropped Smith for Rudi straight up Right after the SF game... if Rudi's healthy the job is his, newcomer or not.

dino88
i think he already has the starting job, evident last sunday. the only reason for the wait was probably to learn the playboook and now with an extra week to practice (bye week) he will be more than ready week 5. drop bulger (who's hopefully finally out of a job) for rudi. 41026sm1
I'm in the same boat... picked up RJ on the waivers and dropped a Def to give me time to decide who to drop... Graham, Earnest RB TB James, Edgerrin RB ARI Smith, Kevin RB DET Hightower, Tim RB ARI Perry, Chris RB CIN Johnson, Rudi RB DET Scoring: 10 yards = 1 point TD = 6 points Recpt = .25 points Thanks
