gowest99
I need a QB (all I have is Garrard and Kitna). Another team needs a WR and has both Brees and Cutler. I'm looking to trade a good WR and not-so-good QB in order to get Drew Brees and a throw-in WR. For example, trade Moss and Kitna to get Brees and Bernard Berrian. Here is MY team: QB(1): Kitna, Garrard WR(3): Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Roddy White, Kevin Walter, Javon Walker RB(2): Steven Jackson, Earnest Graham, Jonathan Stewart, Steve Slaton, Rudi Johnson TE(1): Winslow K(1): Scobee DEF(1): Chi, Ariz. Here is the OTHER GUY's team: QB(1): Cutler, Brees WR(3): Fitzgerald, Cotchery, Bryant Johnson, Randle El, Berrian, Brandon Lloyd, Jerry Porter RB(2): Marion Barber, Chris Johnson, Thomas Jones TE(1): Witten K(1): Bironas DEF(1): Jax, TB Is this a good trade for me? Other ideas? I would probably follow-up by trying to trade another team one of my RBs for a good WR. Thanks.
LayLow
I would do it. Imagine when Colston and Shockey come back and with McCallister in the stable now.
CardinalEmpire.com
If that guy takes your offer, don't give him a chance to reconsider. Brees is going to shred opposing D's all year long... look at their remaining schedule. MIN - haven't played anyone this season to test them (Indy was too dinged up in Week 2 to really get them), but are historically bad against the pass OAK - 13th most passing yards allowed, 13th most TD's SD - most passing TD's allowed, most yards allowed ATL (X2) - 7th most passnig TD's allowed TB - 4th most passing TD's allowed, 12th most yards KC, Green Bay, and Carolina aren't exactly world-beaters, either. dino88
you could try, but unless the guy has missed the first four weeks of the season he will never accept this trade. i can't believe you are actually trying to get another receiver from him. even kitna&moss for brees he would never accept. why would he get rid of arguably the best qb in the league for a considerable downgrade and a receiver who could probably be topped from someone presently on the waiver wire. gowest99
Brees is just sitting on his bench, because he's been playing Cutler instead. He has the top 2 QBs (well, they're up there) and can only play 1 of them. He needs an upgrade at WR, because he only has 2 good ones and we need to start 3. I think he likes Moss, but I guess I'd trade him Andre Johnson from my team instead. Also, I've offered to package a RB. The point is that he has 2 QBs, meaning one of them is sitting on the bench. I'm trying to upgrade his roster by swapping that value for value he can use every week, i.e., at WR. And of course I would get a major upgrade at QB. Thanks for the input all. Further thoughts? Company of Heroes
Do it if you can. See mine: http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?showtopic=263081
jordanzs
I have Brees & Cutler on my team, and after deliberating on it for a while, I just sent a trade request to deal Cutler for Fitzgerald. My receivers are ok with Calvin J, Evans, Cotchery, and Driver. Fitz would be a big upgrade, and the other owner had Tom Brady, so now he's stuck with JT O'Sullivan. I think that Brees will outproduce Cutler by year end, and I value Fitz as a top 5 receiver. So in my mind, this is a fair trade. I don't value Moss nearly as high as Fitz, so if someone came to be trying to trade Moss for Brees, I'd hit the reject button. But if you can pull it off & get Brees, do it in a second, without any hesitation!!!!!!!
