Chief Dick
I can pick up either Lance Moore or Amani Toomer. Moore plays the Vikings this week, while Toomer gets the Seahawks. My league rewards .5 points for a catch, and normal performance scoring. Moore has had the following receptions: 2,1,7,7 Toomer has had: 2,6,5,bye I also have the choice of Kevin Walter from Houston: he's had:3,4,8 , but he plays the Colts this weekend who are 2nd in the league in pass D. Leaning towards Moore at this point, but Toomer is an interesting play as well. This is mainly for this week only. Thanks in advance. EDIT TO ADD: Muhammed is available also. He plays the Chiefs, and has had: 6,5,3,8 Edited September 30, 2008 by Chief Dick
rew70
Burress is out for this game. Toomer is about all they have. Definitely go with the proven vet in this case, especially for this week.

rew70
This is the part that actually worries me a bit. Nonsense Chief! If I had Toomer, I would start him without hesitation. SEA has to fly across the country so they'll be some effect there. NYG may run a bit more, but I bet most passes are headed Toomer's way. MIN is vulnerable in the secondary, their strength is stopping the run. So the game starts with NYG running the ball or maybe even taking a long shot down field right off the bat. Sledding will be tough, at least it should be, and they will open things up with tosses to Toomer and Boss. Steve Smith may be involved as well. He's interesting, since Carolina has Smith on the other side and a decent running game. Chiefs are young in the secondary as well, though they have been playing well. I see all my choices as relative equals. Thinking I should pick up Muhammed for the simple fact I will have to watch him all day Sunday. Smith is going to get all the attention and while I don't think MM will repeat last week this week, he gets plenty of targets. Plus if you have to watch that game, may as well have something riding on it. Flipping a coin, head is Toomer, tails it's MM.............coin says MM. Hat Trick
FWIW CD I am picked up both Muhammed and Toomer recently. I picked up Toomer for this week only and I am starting him. Some will point to Hixon being the most beneficiary but I am going with Eli's trust in Toomer and I think he sees the most targets and gets somewhere around 6 for 75 and 1 TD. detlef
For starters, I like you're thinking in terms of looking at number of catches (even if you weren't getting PPR). It's a good way to see how involved these guys are. Hell, take Meachem. He's been putting up decent numbers but dude scares the hell out of me. 1 or 2 less catches per week and his production goes to zero. With that in mind, I love MM here and I bet he stays a nice option all year long. Smith gets all the attention both on the field and on-line, but Muhammed just keeps doing well.
