I have Gore, R.Bush, R.Wayne, S.Smith... I have been offered a trade for Gore and S.Smith... Getting A.Peterson (Min) and L.Evans.. Regular scoring league with points for yards and TDs. Should I pull the trigger? gore, bush, and smith all have byes on week 9.

Hehmmm.....I like the A.P. play but Evans for Smith is a bit rich. Gore and AP are almost even to me but AP edges him because one he is on a run first team and a better ball club and, two who knows what Martz is going to do and the Niners for that matter. I could see the Niners falling apart in the second half and being behind in games. However, Smith is far to valuable for me to give for Evans. I see Smith outperforming Evans. Lee Evans just has a bad taste in my mouth and I am not sold on Buffalo and Edwards.

 

I trust Jake more then I do Edwards.

I trust the Vikings running game more then I do the Niners

I don't like Evans at all because he has dropped off the face of the NFL map before

I love Smith because when healthy he performs week in and week out with MONSTER games here and there.

 

Bottom line, do you trust Evans to give you Smith Numbers down the stretch AND Buffalo to play in the bad weather AND still perform

 

AP is in a Dome half the games AND plays Detroit twice, Houston, ARZ, ATL, and Jac. Wow that is nice.

 

Gore get ATL, STL twice, SEA, and MIA late. that is also nice. However STL is late when FF championship or to late to matter.

 

Evans has a soft schedule BUT play in Buff, KC and New York in Nov and DEC. What will the weather be like and how will it effect Evans and Edwards?

 

Smith has only one bad weather game in the second half of the season and also has a soft schedule.

 

Bottom line I think you are giving up way to much with Smith and not getting enough back in Evans. To risky to me. Delomme to Smith is proven and time tested connection. Edwards to Evans has been spotty.

 

Gore and AP is not giving up that much expecially with AP having been dinged.

 

 

I you think that Evans will give you what Smith will, in potentially bad weather then do the deal. Or if you think AP is overwhelminly better then Gore to make up for what you lose in Smith. Do the deal.

 

My opinion is this is 4 quarters for a dollar bill with the corner missing. Stand pat because I think Harrision may take a bit from Wayne once Manning and him shake the rust off and you will need Smith to be his stud self.
