Perchoutofwater
I'm thinking about buying a Browning X-Bolt Medallion .270 wsm. I like the feel of the refile. I know the X-Bolt is a newer model, and was wondering if anyone has one, and what they think of it. I went by the local gun shop today at lunch and found a new one for about $175 off of MSRP. The gun shop also had a used 454/.45 Super Redhawk for $379 that I really would like, but that will have to wait until I get the rifle. polksalet
I am not fan of Browning rifles of any kind. I find them to be of no better quality than a Remington for a lot beefier price. If you want a deal on a Weatherby Vanguard .257 lemme know. A friend has one for sale.

My favorite rifle is a 1966 Remington 742 Woodsmaster .30-06. If I could get it in a .270 WSM I would. I've now been to all the local gun stores with the exception of one, and to a gun show this last weekend and just haven't found a Remington I drool over in a .270 WSM. I'm really drooling over the X-Bolt, I'm just a little worried that it is so new, and thus untested.
polksalet
I know who you can axe but he lives in New Boston. Seriously, he makes more in shooting competitions than he does running his gun/pawn shop. Come see him and I'll buy you a Big Mac.

Though I'm more of a Winchester fan, than Remington, I don't find Browning rifles really worth the money. That sounds like a decent deal on the Redhawk. Only complaint I've ever had about Ruger revolvers is the trigger, and a good smith can slick that up and you'll still not spend what you'd spend on a comparable S&W. And you can shoot .45 Colt loads instead of the pricer Casull if you need to, but if you reload it becomes a non-issue after ponying up for the first 500 cases or so. Outshined
I bought an Browning A Bolt about three years ago. It is a .270 WSM bolt action. I like the gun because they way the clip is loaded. When going up in the stand, it is very quiet and safe. It also very very accurate, best gun I have owned.
Jimmy Neutron
Though I'm more of a Winchester fan... I had a synthetic Model 70 in .30-06 given to me this weekend. I'll be interested to see if I can get it to shoot as well as my Remingtons.
