whoopazz
Saw about 20 first day out (warm here too but they were very active). Had a couple small bucks in my lap, and one decent seven that I saw while scouting, but no shooters yet.
Redfish
I bowhunted 7 days (Nov 5-9, 14-15) on my own place in Alfalfa Co, OK. Honest to God truth, I saw 78 bucks in 7 days, and probably less than 40 mature does. With fawns added, probably 80 flatheads or so. We had a crazy mix of a 15 deg morning, an 80 deg afternoon three days later, two days of rain and two days of extreme high winds. Most unpredictable, bizarre "pre-rut" (what I call seeking and chasing phases) I've ever experienced. I probably saw 7 bucks that would score 135" or more, but none in bow range. I saw a legit 160" + on my last day at 55 yards. I took two bucks, biggest around 130" (unofficial green score). I've never seen such a high number or proportion of bucks like that, but I also saw very little aggressive rut behavior. I have guys out there rifle hunting since Saturday and they haven't seen ten deer combined in 2.5 days.
