i_am_the_swammi
Thigpen is playing against the highly touted SD pass defense...at home. But do I dare bench a hot McNabb at home against Cleveland on Monday Night Football? A hot McNabb? He's coming of a 1 TD/191 yard performance. Other than the one game against Arizona two weeks ago (which was an aberration, based on how the game was going), he's been pitiful for almost a month. Interested to know why you term him as "hot"? That being said, I'd likely go Thigpen....the Eagles have discovered that the way to win is by running the ball, and Westbrook will likely lead this offense for the next few weeks. Moreover, I don't see the Brown's scoring much this weekend, and there will be less of a need for McNabb to put it up a ton. Thigpen, on the other hand, will likely be playing from behind against the Chargers and Rivers/LT, and may need to throw a bunch to keep up. With Sds porous secondary, he should have plenty of success. Tack on some cold and potentially precipitating/freezing weather in Philly on a Monday night, and its even more apparent.... This week, Thigpen's the answer. Edited December 9, 2008 by i_am_the_swammi
tazinib1
I actually forgot to insert the after McNabbs name. You make an intriguing argument for Thigpen. It just might sway me.
