gspot Posted December 11, 2008 Share Posted December 11, 2008 With Thomas Jones my #1 RB this week, I need to choose between Pierre Thomas against the Bears or Domonic Rhodes against DET. It sounds like an easy choice with Thomas, but the prospect of Rhodes feasting against Detroit is causing me to waffle. In a standard performance league, 10 yards a point and 6 points per TD, any help you can provide would be appreciated. With the prospect of Addai playing, should i play it safe and go with Thomas or roll the dice on Rhodes upside against the horrible Lions D? rew70 Posted December 11, 2008 Share Posted December 11, 2008 Well if Rhodes starts, then he's the no-brainer. However he still probably should get the nod simply due to matchup. He's averaging double digit carries and has a nose for the endzone. Even if Addai plays, IND should have enough of a lead where they pull Addai and give things to Rhodes. Since your game starts in a few hours....I would probably still stick with Rhodes. He should get double digit points. The Saints are going to get Bush more and more involved. mojo chiefs Posted December 11, 2008 Share Posted December 11, 2008 Taking a chance with Rhodes as Indi does not practice their players during the week if at all dinged at this point in the year. So Addai could still start and not practice all week. If you're going that route I would have another viable option ready to go. I would not feel comfortable with Addai or Rhodes at this point. Im sticking Rhoads in for my flex in my league championship this week. Hopefully its the right thing to do. As for you I still think you need to play Rhoads. Thomas is having an OK game right now. With my team limping into the playoffs having made horrible decisions the last few weeks, lets hope the trend doesn't continue.
